Who We Are

Cohort Group (“Cohort”) is a career management firm that provides its members with the tools to identify, plan, and pursue their chosen purpose in life. As a collaborative career development accelerator, we help our diverse community leverage their network, develop meaningful relationships, accomplish short and long-term goals, and strive for continuous improvement through self-reflection and objective-based measurements.

Our Story

2018

As we sat around talking about our life experiences & future career goals

We thought to ourselves: “How can we ensure those who are talented but may not have a platform to showcase their talent or expertise gain exposure?” That is when “Pitch” was created. Pitch, at its inception, was the idea that there are many people in society who are talented but may never reach their full potential due to lack of access or opportunity to showcase their talent because they may never get through the front door.

2019

We pivoted from Pitch to Cohort Group

Chase asked a simple question: “why is it that we don’t know each other’s best friends?” That simple question led to introductions of our two friend groups. Introductions occurred, and relationships were built that are still maintained to this day. As part of our development of Cohort, we individually interviewed six friends and asked them what their life’s purpose was. It was no surprise that each of them indicated they wanted to positively influence the lives of others. It was then that we knew Cohort could be special.

2020

We continued developing Cohort by refining what the tools would be and which individuals Cohort would target as its user base

We created the Skill Tree™ and Professional Relationship Index™, then built out the infrastructure for various cohorts. Throughout the year, we began finding more opportunities to coach and develop our peers by supporting them in expanding their access to opportunities, enhancing their earning potential, and further aligning their passions into their daily lives.

2021

With the foundation of Cohort established

We actively began integrating all of the Cohort tools and services into our everyday lives through:

  • How we navigated networking beyond our career aspirations
  • Developing targeted skills to prepare us for upcoming opportunities
  • Collaborating with our mentors and peers to avoid barriers ahead of us
These actions resulted in significant career advancement opportunities and exposed us to new paths that aligned us more with our life purposes.

2022

The objective for this year was to bring our tools and services to the community

Our mentors help us gain our initial footing by supporting students in high school and college through local programs that would cater to the student’s summer break and academic year. From the feedback and reflection sessions from the Cohort Group Internship Programs, we developed the Purpose Practicum from these lessons, which would now serve as the launch pad for new members to join Cohort. Shortly after, we had the privilege to launch The Cohort Group LLC to the public to begin impacting the lives of others on a greater scale and to welcome you to the Cohort.

Meet The Founders

Founder
Saveon Grenell, Founder
Founder

Saveon is a practicing attorney in Southeast Wisconsin. In his practice, Saveon represents public and private employers in matters related to Labor and Employment and School Law. Saveon is very engaged in the community and often speaks to students across Southeastern Wisconsin about life and the legal field. He also serves as a Board Director of St. Anthony School, the Milwaukee Jewish Museum, and the 30th Street Industrial Corridor. At Cohort, he is responsible for establishing and cultivating partner relationships and assisting in the implementation of the company’s overall objectives.

Chase Cary, Founder
Founder

Chase is a consultant based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Over his career, Chase has cultivated an expertise as a process improvement consultant for some of the largest financial institutions and firms. Throughout his career, he has played an instrumental role in developing his department’s and peer’s personal development by creating systems that emphasize an environment of continuous improvement for individuals to be their authentic selves. He incepted and deployed over seven programs that ranged from internships, consulting academies, and new hire integration to personal and professional development. Chase’s core responsibility is to design the strategic vision and oversee the company’s product development.
